The ToneWay® Project: helping people play music

Little White Church

There's a little white church in the valley
that 4 stands in my memory each 1 day
And it seems I can hear the bells now ringing
though 2 I am many miles a 5 way
And 1 many times in church on Sunday morning
that 4 whole countryside would gather 1 there
They would all kneel down by the altar
as they lifted 5 up their voice in 1 prayer

Chorus
Oh the church in the valley, oh that 4 little white church
is the 1 place I love so 5 well
Now I'm 1 sad and lonely, yes I'm 4 sad and lonely
for that 1 little white 5 church in the 1 dell

They would sing the old song Rock of Ages
oh Christ, let me hide myself in thee
And I know some of them are now waiting
just o'er the dark and stormy sea
I know their troubles have all ended
and happy forever they will be
They are waiting and watching up yonder
for the coming home of you and me
