Let's Pick It!

Note about picking the banjo in D on this song: While a 1 chord (C for you) is shown in your Picking Pattern, you will only be holding down that chord (or part of the chord) while the song is in a 1 chord. When the chord changes to a 5 chord (G/open for you), you won't press down the C chord.

Dobro players: Note that in the long run, you will do most of your melody-picking from in and around the chord you are currently playing. An explanation of this process is beyond the scope of this free video. However, you will find the instructions for this in our book (below).
